No real person has the exact body they want, do they?
Let’s be honest. No real person has the exact body they want, do they?
Face it, even the highest paid fashion models get airbrushed. After working out for years straight, I’m still trying to get just one more thing a little more toned, one part of my body a little sexier. And there are always plenty of outside forces at play. Just as my wife was getting to the point where she was extremely happy with the shape she was in, along came baby number four, and that dress that she bought on sale to wear to this year’s work party, it just isn’t going to make it. Well, at least not without help.
We’ve been looking through everything from the traditional big box store catalogs to online boutiques, looking for an appropriate bodyshaper that will work with the spaghetti straps and sleek look of the dress. Trust me, the dress would look gorgeous, and I’m not complaining about how it looks now – no one else will either, she just had a baby four weeks ago! But that argument definitely doesn’t work for her.
A corset, girdle… something is going to have to go under that dress, or I’m sure she’d prefer to walk in naked than to display that much stomach. Besides, getting the right shapewear on her might actually help her to pull in that stomach permanently, right? They have some amount of apetite control, and our muscles work with muscle memory, that’s why pregnant women take a while to recover their shape. So putting the stomach back where it belongs will help that process along, and maybe she won’t even need it under the dress for the big day!
